Central Valley School

Central Valley Public School is a K-12 school serving the communities of Reynolds, Buxton, and Cummings. Located along Highway 81 the school is situated half way in between Buxton and Reynolds. 

The high school sports teams co-op with Hillsboro Public School.


1959  Central Valley School district was established.

1961  Graduates from the Reynolds and Buxton schools received the first Central Valley diplomas.  Also, the first CV athletic teams were formed.

1966  The first class to graduate from the physical Central Valley School.

1979  Built the mezzanine and put down the blue and gold tartan gym floor.

1985  Put in geothermal heating and cooling.

1991  First all-school reunion.

1993  Class B State boys' basketball champions!

1995  Mr. Dale Duggan retired.

1997  Class B State girls' basketball, 6th place.

1999  All-school reunion.

1999  Class B State football champions!

2003  Built the gym/stage addition and replaced the main gym floor.

2004  State Babe Ruth Baseball champions!

2007  Dedicated the Randy Vigen football field.

2008  State baseball, 4th place.

2010  All-school reunion.

2011  Class B State girls' basketball, 6th place.

2012  Started co-oping sports with Hillsboro.

2017  Class B State boys' basketball champions!

2018  State football champions!
